Ireland has had strong historical links with the aviation industry ever since Guinness Peat Aviation (GPA, now GECAS) signed their first contract in Shannon in 1975. During the 1980’s it became the world’s largest commercial aircraft lessor by placing a $17 billion order for 700 new aircraft over the following decade.
Dublin is now considered to be the hub of the aircraft leasing industry with many of the aircraft leasing companies having their operations in Ireland. It is therefore only natural that AerData is keen to ensure that its recently founded Dublin office moves from strength to strength. With the favorable Irish corporation tax rates (12.5% as of 2012 compared to other European Countries where the same tax can be as high as 33.99% or even 38.01% in Japan), Dublin is set to remain the home of aircraft leasing for the foreseeable future.
Given the close proximity to so many customers, the Dublin office has strengthened its customer relationships during 2012, and is keen to ensure that they are not lost. “AerData’s presence within Dublin has been well received by customers and other industry related parties. It is only natural therefore that AerData looked to increase capacity to keep pace with the ever increasing demand and growth that is associated with such a large customer base.” – Godfrey Ryan (Director of Marketing and Sales).
With this in mind, AerData have made the decision to appoint an additional Sales Manager to the Dublin office. The position is primarily aimed towards efficiently handling the increased interest in the EFPAC and STREAM products and the customer base in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the latter two being areas of growth where AerData are committed to building the brand. With a strong emphasis on Aviation experience, AerData boast a staff from many different facets of the industry, from Pilots to Engineers, and it is this dedication to the industry that has seen AerData establish itself within the heart of the industry in such a short space of time.
Godfrey Ryan (Director of Marketing and Sales) was keen to point out that the Dublin office is a growing commodity; “AerData are committed to the intensive expansion of the Dublin office in order to accommodate the increased demand for AerData products and services within the Irish market.” AerData are committed to ensuring that they retain the capability to provide not only account management but also operational support to existing customers, new customers, airlines, and MROs.
Have you had any experience with AerData’s products or services? Are you part of the Dublin Aviation industry? We are keen to hear from you.
